We broke ground on our new fire station in October! This long-anticipated facility will provide a safe, modern and secure environment for our firefighters and EMT’s and allow us to better serve our expanding communities. We look forward to celebrating a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the fall of 2026 – stay tuned!
Holiday Safety Tips: Lithium-Ion Battery Awareness
With more cordless devices in homes, here are some essential safety tips:

- Keep batteries at room temperature.
- Don’t charge below 32 degrees or above 105 degrees.
- Use only the charger designed for the device.
- Store batteries away from flammable items.
- Never charge under pillows, on beds, or couches.
- Don’t discard batteries in the trash.
- Avoid charging unattended or overnight.
These tips are critical – we’ve seen fires caused by improper battery use.
Winter Safety Reminders:

- Carbon Monoxide Awareness: Check detectors and ensure proper ventilation.
- Space Heater Safety: Keep 3 feet of clearance, never leave unattended.
- Frozen Pipes: Insulate exposed pipes and know how to shut off the water in emergencies.
